Machine knit felted slippers

I don't think they felted all that well. I knew the hell was not going to make it so now I have some slides. 
I having so much trouble with the mohair ballet slippers this is my first time doing short rowing by hand and I have two kids so I will need to have total concentration I will have that back one day.

Motif Bag Pattern

Ah Ha! found it. I have seen many people make this bag on ravelry. I have made one but mine did not come out like this (you know squarish). So I copied the pattern and put up a link so now you can have it too. Enjoy.

She gave it all she had

This wig has been with me since oct. I have worn her out. I learned many things. I loved her. But now she is broken down. I broke the drawstring and I did try and put it back but she just aint the same. So now it is on to braids.

Continued great taco search

What the hell? Premade taco shells. I shouldve know something wasn't right when when she said ground beef and not steak. Now don't get me worng I am going to eat them but I won't be back. Listening to a co worker he recommended this place. And I only got three instead of the usual four the wer flags I chose to ingnore them. Always people listen to youe gut!

I actually completed something. It was an easy pattern I made the newborn size on size 5s it came out big. Still nice though.

More sewing

I have been meaning to do this before the baby was born over 18 months ago. Better late than never right. I bought the fabric and the iron vinyl. With my mil help she showed how to trace it and I cut it out and sewd it up viola new cover tomorrow I will do the bottom. I need more foam but I may use stuffing.

My first curtain topper

Man I am sleepy yet oh so excited because I made a curtain topper it was quite easy. Now I see why my mil changes her house so often. I already wan to make some more. I have not even finished the kitchen. 

tacos

this pic i pulled off the internet.

I am from Oakland, CA. I have lived many places in CA. I remember them all fondly by the food eaten there. When we stayed in Bay Point there was this taco truck by my house it had the best steak tacos. Now for some reason i cannot find the chicken tacos i used to eat in bay point. They were made in a fried flour torilla with sourcream ooh man i long for those tacos. Oddly enough I cannot even find those (chicken made in the fried tortilla) in Oakland. I had some tacos the other day that almost reminded me of home. I am still on the hunt for that great taco. Moes has some great tacos too their chicken burritos taste like home. Now Moe's is the best american mexican food i have eaten. You know I cannot find a rolled taco to say my life. when i was gowing up in National city we used to eat rolled tacos all the time (I think they are called taquitos but these were not hard like taquitos) anyway I would love to find some of those. I am probably just home sick. I have not been to Bay Point in years it is not even the same I know i probably can't even get back there.

Lela could care less about a book when she was mekhis age. I think because I read to her he likes to read. He picked up the book for his daddy to read.

Pick your afro mama

I am transitioning.I am 4 months without a relaxer. This is hard trying to figure out what to do with half nappy hair is not easy. I made this wig. I used 8" hair. Afro was accidental. I did not realize it was going to be that short. In a panic I comb the hair it look cute bushy so I tried it out. I did not like it at first my mind was scrambling as to what I was going to do next. I kept playing with it and I got the attached photo I like it.

Ran out

I ran out of yarn. Boo! I did not make it as big as the example, which was 12" wide 8.5 long. Was not really sure how I was going to do that. I made it as long as a clutch I have at how not as tall though it is still cute. No to make another side and strap for closure. Can't wait to go lining hunting!

It look so pretty blocked. I had to put it on the floor and it was all I could do to keep the children off it!

The next vest

Light to dark I am going to try the above color combo. These are bulky yarns I am going to use 15's hopefully it will not take that long. Cast on 130 10" size 15 20" size 13 10" size 15 not sure about the stripe pattern though. Will work that out in excel.

So I finally finshed this vest and it buckles in the back but when you put it on me it does not I a bit chunkier than christina (the girl pictured) soon as I get home amelia calls and to say I was doing it wrong I am not supposed reduce to k1 p1 just switch to a smaller needle. Go figure.

Clapotis

Hey I did it! I read this pattern for a week I thought I had it memorized til I got to the body and things were not going well. So I had to star over and I had somewhere to be but could not stop making the scarf so I was late. Ran out of cream and when that happened I said ok when I add the black I am decreasing and there you have it. The black tip came out great. Tried to make another one but my yarn was too light. So I may use comfort next next but the pattern was easy I was really aprehensive for nothing. I can't wait to make another one. It is not that cold but I am wearing it anyway!
