Non stretch jumpsuit

I used v 8915 for this jumpsuit. I made the top a little wider to match the width of the pants but only on the fold side added 1 and 1/4 in to length of the top and left the pants alone. On mimigstyle face book group she made a short video with  some Kenya Moore jumpsuit tips I just followed those. The plan to keep it on is a button in the back i cut a slit right down the back.

Late night sewing

Facebook group is doing a sew along I said hey why not it was two pieces. I made it too big easy fix.
Pink dress used a tutorial on you tube. Man me and a circle skirt I just do not have it down yet I need to make a paper pattern till I get right. That dress took only a yard and a half. Not bad!

Snow day =sew day

Last night I was sewing like mad just in case we did not get a snow day. The school district called at 5:30 am and I was not even mad!  I wanted some palazzo pants and I want mimigstyle new jumpsuit. I have patterns for each but not fabric. You tube to the rescue. Nadira037 has a palazzo pants tutorial that uses non stretch fabric. I was all over that!  I made them a little too big but they are not bad I may shorten them I have on high heels with  these. I am quite proud of myself for my self drafted pattern!

Full skirts

I made two skirts from mimi g regal skirt tutorial. This make 4 skirts I have made from that tut. I put zippers in these. I need an 030 zipper class. 030 is a remedial level class at Livingstone College. The zipper on the red one is way better than the black.
I paid .74 a yd at Walmart for the red one. The metallic fabric cost 2.97 from hancock on the spot the bolt table.

Blanket Scarf

Found this fabric at Walmart. $6.47 a yard. Only needed 1 1/2 yards. I did not cut mines down to 53" on all sides I pulled it out the bag made a triangle and that is all she wrote. I also went to Hancocks and they are still having their 50% off remnant sale and I bought the fabric for the pencil skirt in the picture and some fleece for $2.08.  You see I came straight home and made my skirt made two cowls out of the fleece too. I could not wait. This sewing thing has gotten bad. I have one skirt cut one skirt almost done just made one yes I need to slow down. Lol!

Blanket Coat

I made this. I used V8930. I could not have done it without a lady on Facebook. She walked me through the pattern. I do want to make another one. Maybe solid color with a leather trim.

Blanket scarf

Ok I seen the zara blanket scarf and fell in love. I do think it is still available on the the zara website.  I was at the thrift store and found a flannel blanket. Yep. Pinterest has numerous ideas on styling a blanket scarf.

If you want to make your own the blogger mentioned her zara scarf measures 53" on all sides. So that is roughly 1 1/2 yards of 60" fabric. You can cut it down if you want.

Turban head band

I made this turban head band using the tutorial below I couldn't really figure out the elastic part so it came out OK. I plan to wear it with a purple sweater.

I made the winter white one but I used tulle instead of netting not bad.

Toni daley sells head wrap for 5 great price. I had some scraps so I made a few and gave one to my soror she wore it to a fashion show and got many compliments she loves it.

Leather trimmed Lucy Hat

I wanted an all black hat to go with my all black fur vest outfit finally got around to making my all black Lucy hat. Not bad now I need a hair style that will accommodate the hat lol!

B day dress in action

I wore the dress I made for my birthday to the chancellor's ball. I did not look at the jumpsuit pattern before I went to buy the fabric and did not buy enough. I may still make it as a gift for someone.

A Successful thrift

Got this pottery barn duvet and shams for $12!  Not bad. Now to purchase the goose comforter to fill it properly.

My b day

This year my bday fell on thanksgiving. So my hubby took me out the night before. We went to dinner and then bar crawling ( bar hopping) in the epic center in Charlotte this place was new to us. The arm bands gave us free entry to three to four places. Some were clubs others were a combination of restaurant and club or bar. We went to the suite twice they had the better drinks. I am way too old for that type of partying I was tired on my bday slash thanksgiving I did not want to go eat. I was like can't you just get me some cook out and leave me here. I had a GOOD time. He knows his wife! Only thing that could have made it better was to have my girls there I will work on that!
Since best buy opened up at 6 after we ate we stopped by best buy at about 5:45 Leon got in line and waited in the longest line ( the phone line) to get his wife a free g4. Great job bae!

Just being creative

I follow irockoutnikki on Instagram the dope girl tees are her creation and I made some local ones and some Greek ones. You know just playing around like I do. I thought I could not hurt to show what I did so I emailed them to her. I mentioned how she was looking for interns a while back and here were a few of my ideas. She responded back wanting to know if I was interested in being an I rock out apparel intern. I was like awww!
You know I had to get a creatively chic one in the next three are some local high schools and of course starting with the best DST I added some Greek ones that was pretty fun!

Da da da

Even though this is not going to make it to sports center (da da da) it should this jacket right here well you know the rest. I may try to reconstruct and over size blazer just seam rip and got at it but upon looking at my blazers they already have a bunch of seams. We will see.

Sequin joggers

Finally made them. Put knit cuffs on the bottom like Erica B did on her black ones. I love how they came out. I did not make a lining but I will when I make my jumpsuit I forgot how transparent this fabric is. I will make my faux leather joggers this week I need them for homecoming.

I made this skirt. It used to be a pair of Capri pants from a thrift store. Loved this idea from Pinterest and pulled this together.

Oh yeah

That is navy blue sequins 2 yds and 15". I am 3" short of 2 1/2 but am going to make it work. This is for my sequin pair of joggers view b. Sequins was 40% off plus a 15% off coupon sequin joggers for $9.16! Boo Ya! Yes I am excited over fabric.
