At times I feel that my hair is not long at all but I look at an old picture and I feel so much better. I am doing protective styling til August. I took my hair out just for this picture since it is not changing for 8 years. Lol! Went home braided it right back up.
At first i did not understand mock ups. I have begun using them and they help the client get the big picture.

I did 10 rows of 2x2 rib then followed the pattern came out really cute. I did a pom pom instead of ears.
The blanket is just a simple granny square blanket embellished with baby girls initial.
My attempt at making this cowl i just used the black hole cowl bit did it straight i casted on 26 and followed the pattern until i was almost out of yarn. I used two ball of home town for the yellow and thick and quick for the brown. I also used N hook instead of P. The brown is longer than the yellow not sure why.
One lady on my facebook made one of these. I saw it again on Pinterest and had to have one. More research and i saw a infinity scarcf/clutch. So i made another scarf with a bag trying to make that clutch/scarf. No go my scarf is bulky. But trial an error i know leave the bag out i think you need a two sided zipper to be able to tuck the scarf in and wear as a clutch.
After Christmas my MIL the kids and I went shopping. We started at Foust Textiles in Kings Mountain, NC i bought the green black and white fabric off the $5 a lb table. 3 yds.
Finally made it to IKEA got the colorful fabric 1 yd. There were so many people in there you would gave thought they were giving something away.
Lastly we went to Hobby Lobby. I bought 1yd of stretch lace i plan to make some undies.
Me and a few girls from the needles and fashion group met up at the scrap exchange in Durham. I bought 2 yds of green polkadot and 2 yds of the stripes and a few more item but these are my jewels. Not even sure what i am going to make but it will be cute!
Kids and were running the streets in the cold. Went to value village and got a bag of fabric for 1.75 i got some good pieces in that bag. Also got two pillow cases and a sheet. Plan to make a scarf with the pillow cases and pants from the sheet. I have found all kinds of way to style the pants and i have not even made them. Lol.
I finally finished my cape. I used s1775. Really easy pattern. I need those holes on the side to belt it I am not brave enough for button holes. I also re twisted my hair that day I was feeling like Tracie Ellis Ross.

I got the idea from the link above. I went to Walmart and the metallic floss was 6.97. It had 34% metallic. The thread I used was 3.49 same amount of metallic. The glove is so so I was not able to text but my daughter put them on and the glove worked fine. I think I just need to cut my nails down. But not bad for 3.49. Give it a try if you are on the fence.
I put some chunky flat twists in Saturday night took them out this morning. A few pieces in the front are great the rest is puff. I am not good at flat twisting but I will not give up.
I wore my tutu many people said I looked like a princess ballerina and dancer. I had a good time in the photo booth. I spent most of the party eating and taking pictures. Did a little bit of dancing I didn't care for the dj. I made the bow in my head.

I made the butter I did not need a label I wanted it. Lille pulitzer makes some great backgrounds. You may see this design again.
Three ingredient body butter I found on Pinterest 1 cup shea butter, 1 cup coconut oil, essential oil. We added purple food color ok it was hella old cake dye but it served its purpose but it will turn your hands purple so maybe don't use so much color. LOL. Next up sugar scrub equal parts coconut oil and sugar add essential oil done. I am now in search of ginger and orange essential oil trying to do a bath and body works energy knock off.
Yesterday was my Mom's birthday. She would have been 58. I made a cake in celebration. As we ate cake the children and I went through the family photo album remembering her. I miss her every day.
