The pictorial above for the body and simplicity 1014 for the cowl. I used 3.5 yds. The cowls uses 1 yard. Next one I will use 4 yards. Cut the cowl first. Use that to guage your neck hole. Next up client maxi skirt.

Teiraney J Drape dress

I only had 2 yds this is what I did. I followed her video tutorial and i like it. I see it as a tunic top or a really short dress. I used m6886 for the armholes and the same pattern for the sleeve.

National sewing month

I got homework to do but right after my homework i am getting as much sewing in as possible. That is why i have two bags in two days.

I got the top from A-Re-NEWed-Purpose 

I made the skirt to coordinate with it.  The fabric is neoprene from Joann's.  I am going to put a bodice on it and make a dress.  I added pockets but I don't really like them.  They may come out.  I really want a floral pencil skirt to go with the top.  The top is a peplum.  I put my animal print pencil skirt on with it and i did not really like it I was not happy until I matched the top with something floral.  I don't know why.  To make the skirt I used my tried and true scuba skirt template.  I used 10 (40") panels.  I usually do 9 (36") but I wanted it even so that I could 5 panels each side with pockets. So the skirt is a little big.

Mangonada

The children and i went to a food truck that sold mexican sweet treats i had a mangonada we also got a peach and a strawberry one. A co worker gave me a big bag of frozen mangoes so mangonada it is. I watch several you tube videos and instead of water i used tequila. Came out great.

Tried and true

I made this dress the same way i made the last dress. I did not add the v in the back. I forgot about that. I used m6886 and the scuba mini am skirt template. I just added sleeves to this one. I still need to hem. I am thinking of pairing it with a camel belt and shoes.

Print mixing

You know i love to mix print. I made this skirt and so glad. Demi Fuller has an online thrift shop and i bought two striped peplum tops from her. Why did i do that so i can print mix if course. Girl Charlie has floral ponte knit in their shop now 7.50 a yard. The pink black and grey would go great with the black and white striped peplum i just bought.

I posted the sketch or croquis a little while back. I finally sat down and put her together. I still have to hem the top. My serger put me down and I did not feel like rethreading it. Fabric from fabric mart I used 3 panels. Came out great. Plan to #rockthecrop with some skinnies. Stay tuned.

Crop tops

If pooh can wear a crop top so can I. This is my second attempt. The problem every time I raise my arms you can see my undergarments. Pooh doesnt have this problem. Any ways vack to the drawing board.

I don't get it

Every time i wear a head wrap i am compared to a slave.  Today i was told i look like aunt jemima i do not see the resemblance. *kanye shrug*

I tried to i cant tell the difference. But that puff has grown! So it is puff transformation!

one more croquis

ok this is my idea my hubby and I  are going to a comedy show.  I am thinking this outfit with heels.  I saw this top at Dillards in a neon color if I can find some of that fabric that will be the pop of color amongst the black and white.  I have the window pane fabric and pattern at home on the table waiting for me.  Now I think about it I am not sure about the shorts.  Might need to make sure I use a good fabric.  

my first croquis

I bought some fabric from fabric mart because Jenese my inspiration made one with a panel from fabric mart.  Hers sold out so when this came up i traded this weeks lunches for three yards.  I am fluffier than she is so my top will be looser.  I am really excited!

My stab

Two ladies made a caftan dress i took a go at it myself. Not bad i may wear it tomorrow with some jeans. I mean it is Friday.

Internal happy dance

I made pulled pork used a recipe on Pinterest call dr pepper pulled pork. Really simple salt pepper garlic powder dr pepper and time. I quickly made a pulled pork coleslaw and hot sauce sandwich with a toasted English muffin and that is why i am doing an internal happy dance. I will not buy pulled pork again i want to try it with a store bought rub or look up a recipe. Need to buy another shoulder before the sale ends.
