It has been a while

I have been sewing, designing and doing this and that. # ghoe is this week I will wear blue and gold all week. Also in the que is m6884 in a gold scuba I bought almost a year ago. 
This fabric was too thick to gather so it has some haphazard pleats. I just need put in the zipper and hem. She will be ready to wear tomorrow!

Ootd

Finally wore this jumpsuit I made. My twists are not dry so headwrap it is. Maybe wear it again with pink blazer and grey heels.

Diy coffee mug

Saw this video thought why not give it a shot. Thought about it some more and came up with diy coffee mug since I can't find decal paper but online. This picture is a mock up but you get the idea. I am hoping that clear shelf liner will work then that way I will not have seams. Then seal it.  All I can do is try.

It has been a while

But I did a wash and go. I diffused it to about 75% dry put it in a pineapple and put my bonnet on. Watch Natural metra on you tube. I watched her and immediately washed my hair and you know how much I hate to wash my hair. I used leave in conditioner then shingled in black gel diffused it on low.

Bonnet Adventures

Tanya Walters in the house of style group on Facebook told me how she made her bonnets because mines are always too small. I made a  35" or so I think. I went 17.5" ( half of 35)  all the way around. I got that big booger. I tried 22" and 25" the last one was the winner. I found making the casing a little difficult a lady in the group said she does bias binding and I just happened to have some bias tape and a bias tape foot I have been itching to use!

Creatively Chic all week

I have worn a skirt everyday this week and they all were made by me!   Go me! This skirt was a blanket I found at good will paired with a v neck tee from Walmart and grey sneaker wedges. Not really sure about the sneakers and a maxi skirt.

Sew something every day

I did not make my Ankara skirt but I did make a pencil skirt! Rhiannas studio is killing pencil skirts she inspired me to make one. Mine is real fitted my husband said where are you wearing that?  Somewhere with him I guess. Red heels and white tee and denim jacket. I even pegged it! 

Sew something every day for national sewing month

I re made Alexis skirt. I still need to hem it I wanted to stop you see that big wet spot spilled a cup of water on it boy I was batting 1000.  Tomorrow ankara maxi.

Weekend Sewing

I am supposed to have these skirts done a while ago. I am so glad my friends are patient. While making their skirts I had to make me one too. The blue one is repeat business I mentioned that earlier. The floral one is a birthday gift. I need to make another one because I inserted the zipper crooked. But I will rock it. The black one has a faux leather waistband a scrap from my faux leather joggers.

Fabric shopping

Got these beauties at Walmart. The colorful one cost $2 a yard and there was only 5 1/2 yards left on the bolt so...give me all of that. I was not going to get the striped knit but I know I will be sitting at home obsessing about all the things I could make with that two yards. That striped knit was $2.50 a yard.

Why

It took several tries to get all three of us in a picture and when I do this is the face she gives! My child!

Print mixing

Y all are probably so tired of me and my print mixing. But I love it!

Pants finished

They are ok. The pattern was easy. I may pair them with a white tee.

Iro and Buba

Iro is top/blouse buba is wrapper skirt. I used 3 yards for my buba. I can not make a top with that fabric there is too much color going on for me. I plan to wear a knit buba white tank and coordinating kimono. I only have two yards so I will be doing a bit of tucking. I might wear another one on Friday and tuxedo track pants on Saturday. Need to finish the track pants.

My work

I was at loom craft with my mother in law and a lady was looking for someone to make a cover for a display.  Of course my mother in law said me. I was nervous and  asking God are you sure? (like Adrienne said)   It came out nice and I am thankful for the opportunity!

My whole outfit

I made my whole outfit. Pretty proud myself. I used m6886 for the dress and diy kimono. 

New tee in the shop

I aspire to have catchy tees like tees in the trap. I love their site. But for now I will keep doing what I do.
