My Outfits in Vegas (pic Heavy)

I had a blast!I began my trip with these relaxed linen pants and homemade top (I may blogged about this already. After a nice long flight we hit the ground running. We are on our way to center city (I think)or Aria. When Leon and I were there last time we did not get this far. The V Theater is in the the city center where we picked up our V cards which is full of free entry passes into the clubs of Vegas, many 2 for 1 drink specials at bars and other things. Well worth the money and our host got a deal on them. You see my Chuck's I was the only one in my house without Chuck's! Now after we had out first 2 for 1 drinks ate it was time to party. I started out in the romper but ended up in the maxi skirt turned dress. That night we went to Pure. Today we did the timeshare walk through. Now I have no money for a time share but I was game to give them three hours of my day for $70 cash a free ticket to the hypnotist show and a three day two night cruise oh and brunch (which that and the cash is really why I went). After that we did some more running, dinner, gambling and of course more clubbing and I think that night we went to Lavo. At Lavo they do it up big. Someone bought a bottle of DP and the girl came out on top of a mans shoulders twirling the bottle and something else. We went that night because it was hip hop night. That DJ was banging! I wore my peplum and skinny jeans. I told you were were rolling. This day we went to the Hoover Dam and the hypnotist (another post about specifics)and at the morning meeting (we were a group of 14 so we met many times)the plan was to chill after the hypnotist show but it did not quite go like that. We had a good time at the dam and after the show split into boy girl groups. That night I wore the romper and we went around using our v card and Karaoke. The night was filled with free shots and my drunken singing. A great time was had! This day (mind you I am wore out) we went to the outlet mall. I left early (I did most of my shopping before I left and I was sleepy)The plan was to help prepare for the cookout that evening and take a nap til dinner. But by time I finished chopping veggies and helping where I could it was time to change into swim suits take a quick dip in the hot tub before we ate and then went out so, no nap. I was tired and forgot to take a pic of my outfit but I wore high waist shorts animal print tank and flats. For the hot tub, I found a cute one piece at value village for $2.50 did not feel like a mom at all! We went to club Tao that night and they had a woman swinging from the ceiling yes she was on a swing! They give ladies a free shot when you walk in the door. To end the night we went to breakfast. I had two pancakes ham and a eggs for 2.95! I was so tired I could not finish it all and she actually forgot my order I was too tired to cuss her out! I wore my miley cyrus leather look leggings a top my family bought for Christmas (I am damn near 40 why a mid drif top? Anyway) So you know on Saturday our last day in Vegas was supposed to be the bomb but I was out. I woke up my head pounding throat sore. I was done I was in the bed til 2 am (I had to get up because I had not packed and the shuttle was coming at 5:45 am)and you know I almost left a draw full of clothes. Before we left for Vegas I bought this long sleeve polka dot chambray top (I had to go to two old navy's in the rain with two kids for this shirt)this and some linen pants perfect on the flight back but baby our layover in Minnesota was so cold I wished I had wore the cords I bought with the shirt. All in all I had a great time. Thanks for reading!

DIY infinity jumpsuit

With the three piece sheet set I bought the other day I can make a dress and a jumpsuit. Or so I think. I still have not successfully made a pair of pants. But you know when I do look out!

Half off everything

The last Wednesday of the month value village has everything half off. I bought this three piece jersey knit sheet set for 2.75. Score!

Now I am finished

I blogged about my clutches previously but I am just getting around to sewing them up. I bought more needles and was even brave enough (well after watching tons of you tube) to sew them together on the machine. The green one I used the zipper foot and the animal print one I did not. I only broke two needles and I think that is because of the thickness of the the layers. So future reference use size 18 needles.

Finally

Made my pencil skirt. I gave it 2" of wiggle room it might be ok for work.

The parent I made the dress for liked her dress. I tried to package it as cute as possible too.

Lanesplitter

This is a knittty pattern. I am making this one for my daughter. I has to cast on three times. First time I did not use waste yarn. Second re it was too long third time it was too short. She has to stand there while I castes on chains and held it to her hip (well her tummy ) til I got the right length. I am pairing it with grey to stretch the color yarn but I may run out grey before the color yarn but that is ok too. I may not be finished with hers before I leave but probably when I get back. She already has her riding boots and rights ready. I got her riding boots for $15 dollars as well. This is a pretty straight forward pattern mindless knitting the kind I like.

Dyed again

I am going to make a lane splitter skirt for my daughter with this yarn. The color has lightened a lot but on a diagonal it should look lovely.

Guess what

I wore my grey infinity dress on Tuesday. When I picked Lela up a parent said when you take your dress off put it in her book bag for me. I said I will make you one like this she said yeah and turned back to talk to me. Like wait you are serious. She said I like bright colors. I think this green is just right. It took me a minute to figure out how I was going to make I stayed up one night making a 42" quarter circle only for it to be too big when I bought the fabric. It is 42" long. When I tried it on it is just right. I will have to take it in some for her. I am just going to cut the elastic down. It came out great.

DIY infinity wrap dress

I wanted to used this fabric for a wrap sweater but I did not have enough. I saw the tutorial for this dress and hoped and prayed I had the 2 yds it called for. The edges need to hemmed but other than that I loved how it came out. I can't wait to make another one. By the way this fabric came from the bag of $3.50 bag of fabric from value village. Score!

Infinity maxi dress

I am so embarrassed by this picture but it the best one that I have at the moment and I am so excited that I actually made a convertible maxi dress. I think I am done though. They are not that easy to wrap. Monif C makes it look easy but it is not. I am sure with practice I will get better. I wrapped the striped one like a top paired it with black skinnies and red heels. Girl bye you could not tell me anything. One more thought. Convertible romper.

My first cut pattern

I cut my first pattern. I am a large xlarge but not in cut pattern I should have bought the small thru med I did not cut it all that well but I have hope that if I continue to practice I can be pretty good. My goal was brightly hued pants but I did not have enough Fabric do I went with shorts but they are way too big. And I did pockets first time doing those.

P.S. I Made it Macramé Necklace

Looking at the left over super bulky cotton I thought of the macramé necklace. Did not realize I had so much yarn. The plan is to add a chocolate brown ribbon and gold chain I think maybe a gold bead?

Chunky cowl

Made another cowl four strands of redheart. The pattern called for three strands of thick and quick in 19's. You can say I have a baby doby ferry cowl.

DIY skinny jeans

Theses jeans have seen better days. I was on the Fence about ripped jeans but these had a hole in them already so a few more were not going to hurt them. Using tweezer works way better and the next pair I will use that method. I like the way they turned out and I can't wait to style them.

Fancy Zipper Pull

I made this a while ago I made the dough and used cookie cutter for the pepper shape and nail polish.

I think I am done

I have made five bags. I just need two zippers. I think a yellow zipper for the green bag and a khaki zipper the striped bag. I still need my animal print pencil skirt. Just a side note.
