Might be a wadder

My Franken pattern S1426 plus M6760. I love the pants. The top so so i need to take it in and shorten it. I am just going to make separates. But look at me. This time last year i would not even look at a zipper.

Just a thought

If I combine s1426 and m6760 it will not be exact but pretty close. It will be similar to one of these.  Again this is just a thought.

OK if i use view C instead of A I can get a look closer to the strapless jumper which is the one I really want. The plan is to extend the center piece of view c to the length of the center piece plus the mid drift piece.  I need to sketch all of this out. I have cut all the pieces for the top jumper but now of course in true Creatively Chic fashion I want something else.

Trixie is my pole dancer name. For my soror ' s b day although  belated we did a pole dancing party. Boy was that fun! If you ever thought about trying pole dancing do it you will not regret it.

Pretty girls sew

Tabitha dud a tutorial on a gathered skirt bought this fabric when I bought my easter skirt fabric because it matched so well with the chiffon. Now I need to make the baby one. I bought some chambray for 2.44 a yd and a tank top. She will be cute. The plan is to make me a jumpsuit with the same fabric. Just need something for the boy. I was thinking an open shirt. I don't do button holes.

Baby size rectangle granny blanket

This is a new technique for me. Co worker is expecting his first baby way too early to say pink or blue. I have some black in the stash and he is an Alpha. Score!  More progress pictures to come.

Successful kimono

I made a kimono picture tutorial on how I made mine and look a fellow sewer on Facebook used it and made the cutest kimono!

Diy Easter

I simply love my suit. I used a tutorial from cheap but chic for the fascinator. M6751 for the top and m3850 for the skirt my waist band needs a little work the zipper too but I did it this skirt has darts and a zipper and I made it anyway! Got the fabric for all pieces from hobby lobby.

Plan of action

Saw this on meesha ' s Facebook group. This lady bought her fabric already ombre. I bought this sheet and some dye with a  you tube video I am going to see what I can do.

My Kimono Picture Tutorial

Step 1. Your fabric comes hot dog style

Step 2. Fold it hamburger style

Step 3. Fold the hamburger in half

Step 4. Take an 8.5x11 size sheet of paper

Step 5. Fold the paper in half

Step 6. open the sheet of paper fold on half in half

Step 7 Place on fabric "NOT" on fold side cut out .

After you cut out the sheet of paper and open up the fabric you should have a "T" shaped piece of fabric.

Oversized shrug

I saw the teal one and had to have it. I found the geometric print on ebay but it was only 1 yard. It is sheer so no pencil skirt. Then I remembered the oversized shrug. The bandeau top is from a tutorial on you tube the shrug too I still have to hem the shrug. Love it. I made a green bandeau as well now I need a shrug to match.

I put my own logo on a shirt she thought it meant put your logo on a shirt either way it is a win for me!

I plan on making me some pixie pants with nl6231. I got my zipper foot in the mail yesterday. Wish me luck!

CIAA

This is what I wore for CIAA. Mimigstyle used a different pattern but I made it work. I love the way it came out. My girlfriends were so funny. They said where are our matching dresses. I can't wait to make a black one.
I used V8536 added 7" instead of 6 like mimigstyle and it was still mad short and that was ok. It took me back to freshman year at Livingstone I would put on something I thought was too short and my girlfriend would say good take it off and I will wear it. I used ponte roma knit.

Learning Curve

I made this jacket. It is too big of course the fabric was a sheet so nothing lost. I need to learn about easing sleeves theses are horrible. I am a little sad because I liked that sheet. Maybe just fix the sleeves. I've worn oversized blazers before.

Wrap life

Browsing instagram came across shopwraplife.com became inspired and came up with this. My wrap is a shirt I picked up at the thrift store. Now I need an outfit to match. How do you like my faux bangs. I may make some wraps similar to the website it is only a yard and a half of fabric. You know  me!

Non stretch jumpsuit

I used v 8915 for this jumpsuit. I made the top a little wider to match the width of the pants but only on the fold side added 1 and 1/4 in to length of the top and left the pants alone. On mimigstyle face book group she made a short video with  some Kenya Moore jumpsuit tips I just followed those. The plan to keep it on is a button in the back i cut a slit right down the back.

Late night sewing

Facebook group is doing a sew along I said hey why not it was two pieces. I made it too big easy fix.
Pink dress used a tutorial on you tube. Man me and a circle skirt I just do not have it down yet I need to make a paper pattern till I get right. That dress took only a yard and a half. Not bad!

Snow day =sew day

Last night I was sewing like mad just in case we did not get a snow day. The school district called at 5:30 am and I was not even mad!  I wanted some palazzo pants and I want mimigstyle new jumpsuit. I have patterns for each but not fabric. You tube to the rescue. Nadira037 has a palazzo pants tutorial that uses non stretch fabric. I was all over that!  I made them a little too big but they are not bad I may shorten them I have on high heels with  these. I am quite proud of myself for my self drafted pattern!

Full skirts

I made two skirts from mimi g regal skirt tutorial. This make 4 skirts I have made from that tut. I put zippers in these. I need an 030 zipper class. 030 is a remedial level class at Livingstone College. The zipper on the red one is way better than the black.
I paid .74 a yd at Walmart for the red one. The metallic fabric cost 2.97 from hancock on the spot the bolt table.

Blanket Scarf

Found this fabric at Walmart. $6.47 a yard. Only needed 1 1/2 yards. I did not cut mines down to 53" on all sides I pulled it out the bag made a triangle and that is all she wrote. I also went to Hancocks and they are still having their 50% off remnant sale and I bought the fabric for the pencil skirt in the picture and some fleece for $2.08.  You see I came straight home and made my skirt made two cowls out of the fleece too. I could not wait. This sewing thing has gotten bad. I have one skirt cut one skirt almost done just made one yes I need to slow down. Lol!

Blanket Coat

I made this. I used V8930. I could not have done it without a lady on Facebook. She walked me through the pattern. I do want to make another one. Maybe solid color with a leather trim.

Blanket scarf

Ok I seen the zara blanket scarf and fell in love. I do think it is still available on the the zara website.  I was at the thrift store and found a flannel blanket. Yep. Pinterest has numerous ideas on styling a blanket scarf.

If you want to make your own the blogger mentioned her zara scarf measures 53" on all sides. So that is roughly 1 1/2 yards of 60" fabric. You can cut it down if you want.
