My sister has ordered a shopper and two sweater shawls. I need to swatch for her shawl she needs it bigger than the pattern calls for and you know that I only made the shawl once. Here I go.

I used vanna's choice size 5 needles. Only did 6 rows of ribbing and did not quite complete second repeat of the chart (left off the last cable) I don't even know if it fits. Not sure if it is too his liking or not. Any who I did something.

I only had one ball of lambs pride cotton fleece so I made the pattern with 14 rnds only and t rows of sc around the mouth and sides now I need a bag frame.

Finally started my dontae

I am making the dontae for my husband for valentines day. Never knew he wanted a hat or scarf till I started making them for myself then he says I sure could use a hat and scarf. So here you go. Let me get to it.

My spring bag

I have started my hawiian sky bag! It will be the same pattern as the striped bag but solid. I want wooden handles just like coleens I hope joanns has another pair. I have just the lining fabric. Same as my oval bag which I haven't finished. I need to make another bag for my store. Got to get on the ball need some extra scrilla.

These dungarees for a premature baby were easy! My first pair I made straight by the pattern baby weight yarn keyplate 2. Next pair is key plate 4 and worsted weight. That should be big enough can't wait to see! Now I am excited.

Using leftover comfort I am making a purple one I am putting the sp1 in between I did not have that last time. I want a red one for teshia and a aqua green one for myself this summer.

For Starters

The starcrossed cowl was a bust. Should have given it my full attention. I am subscribed to alexanderbond on youtube and while she was snowed in she did four videos I did some responses. I did the chunky two strand twist (the pic it is the left over) I also played in some makeup. It came out great! my hair did too. I am using a mix of shea butter and curl activator. The mixture is a bit clumpy but it does the job my hair is soft and moist all week! When I remake it I will use the curl activator in the bottle. That does not get clumpy. I am really enjoying my hair looking forward to july for my first press and curl! I did trim my hair too when I did my chunky two strand twists. My curls look so crisp.

Star crossed cowl

I am finally making this cowl I will post a pattern right after I finish. Same as the hat cast on 72 work in the round three cable repeats end with ribbing. I am not sure how prominent the cables will be with this yarn and I have to line it with I am thinking jersey knit because this yarn has 10% wool and itches my neck like noones business.

My hair growth so far I am about to wash out my conditioner. I would like to save up and buy a huetiful hair steamer. Check out the length of the twists. As a matter of fact check out the twist I got twist! I will have a fabulous head shot come july even april is when I big chopped.

Not deep enough

I made this tam on the machine and you see it just sits on the top of my head. Don't mind the nappy hair I am on vacation. Took down the sew in because my scalp was itching too bad. Currently  I am deep conditioning my hair. Anyway I am proud of two things concerning this tam. I did a circular creation. My first and seam as you go. I but the ribbing on as I knit the hat ( knit the rib first). So it was not a complete waste.

It is almost finished. I used 63 sts (a multiple of 9 that was close to a small thrope) and size 5 needles. I am loving the way it came out. Over the break I have another pattern I am going to try.

I did a sew in weave last night. The cost 10. Sewing in hair is not as easy as you tube makes it look. I did not do a closure. I tried and it did not look right. I really could be so much better bit know if I keep trying it will. And at 10 for 2 bags I won't give up

Accessorize the jacket

I got a cream jacket on sat on sunday I was making scarves to match. I made the fluffy scarf from the lion brand site the pattern calls for t&q but I used three strands of worsted. Two cream and one purple varigated. Did all that and it looks better with my purple pea coat and not my cream jacket. But not to worry my enterlac scarf looks better with the cream coat than the pea coat. Go figure.

Then there were two

These are the two I made for my co workers aunt. So now I can get back to my wrap. No. I was teaching my supervisor how to crochet and she was determined to make a hat without asking for help. It did not go so well and now I am making another cadet hat. At least it is not for me. I still need to make leons dontae hat I am going to finish my wrap. Same thing happened last year christmas crafting for others takes up most of december then I need a break then I get back on it. Now that I think about a red cadet or cabled hat to go with my cream christmas jacket would be great. Ever since I got that coat I have been craving red accessories for it.

No More Christmas Card Dilema

What card will I make this year? Last year I took so long deciding, my Christmas cards turned into Happy New Year’s cards.

Not this year. I am going to use Shutterfly for my Christmas cards. It is a great place for cards, invitations and gifts. All I have to do is take a picture. The plan is to dress up, go to the mall and use their decorations. That is what I did for Mekhi’s first Christmas.

Then pick from Shutterfly’s great collection.I can do the same thing for invitations.
My thought for Mekhi’s third birthday party invitations is to use three pictures from ages one to three and go from there. Select a cute invite already put together and excellently arranged and use the same card for thank you cards use photo cards and a picture from the birthday party and change the wording. But what can you do about gift ideas?
I am doing photo calendars for all of grandparents

and natural hair journals for my girls that took the plunge and went natural. Decorate the journals with an inspirational quote like, “There is no greater beauty than the real you.”

I will have cards and gifts done with time to spare!
When I decided to use Shutterfly I did not know how handy they were. Did you know they will mail it for you? Get out of town! So if you are in a bind for christmas photo cards try shutterfly. Now it is onto picture taking.

Not bad at all

I am on like row 5 after the 30 rows of rib and it is really not hard I just need serois concentration.i want this finshed by dec 11 for the tack christmas party. So like I said real serious concentration. I am not even through one reapeat. My goal is one repeat a day. I should be done the week of the event then I just need some brown flat boots. I think it should take a solid 2 hours of no interuptions to complete 1 repeat. 1 hour at lunch and one at home should do it. Plan your work work your plan.

Not quite right

This was not quite right so I took down the cable and started doing 1x1 ribbing in the middle but I am thinking of taking it down. I saw a scarf on sweaterbabe and I love that look it is 12 in wide by 72 in long now I am seriously considering machine knitting it. The pattern I saw is a lace one but I was going to make mine plain. I need a swatch though. Was I going to do the fringe on the side yes. Sounds like a whole lot of yarn. Yeah project not sounding all that tempting now. Anyway I need some sleep.

I can't stop making these hats. They take like three hours straight. I feel very confindent about my pattern. I am going  to put plastic canvas in the brim. On both of these I need one more for my tack christmas bags. Now to find some rufffle yarn. If I find more blue yarn I will make a blue and gray maybe.  Man I need to go to sleep. I made the grey hat because my boss is making one and she is like it is too small. I am like how is it too small mine come out fine. So to prove my point I made the gray one. Now the blue one because I had some blue yarn. And then I am like one more and I can have one for each member of tack. Even though I already have three. But picture wise I need to have one too. Yeah some tweed yarn. Just need to go acmoore and pick one color you get two hats per skein. Like I said before what about scarves? Or just something to compliment the hat?

Aran honeycomb vest

I am going to make my version of the winter in france vest by twinkle. I am making the vest I made all last christmas. Finally making one for me. I am using the 17s for the ribbing. And the 15s or 13s for the aran honeycomb st. For the honeycomb st it needs to a mutliple of 8 sts so I casted on 128sts now I need a green top and brown knee high boots.

Entrelac complete

I am done I remember just a week ago I could not stand entrelac. What was I thinking. Entrelac is the best this going. Soon as I get some black nylon crochet thread actually I might use the rest of this green I have I am going to make a clutch. Yeah let me get on that it is only 8 tiers.
