My Travelers Notebook

Hey, I diy'ed my travelers notebook (TN)  but I love it.  I am currently thinking  how to reduce it down to just two books my journal and my planner.  I need either to add a small piece to the back or make a whole new cover.  Right now I have my journal (the pic on the front is not mines I copied it for Erra the creator on Instagram I love her art work),
I have my food journal. I am thinking if I could reduce this to an insert in the planner.

My food at a glance sheet I am either going to add it as a page in the food journal insert or make it a one page insert into my planner either way this separate section is going away as well as my habit tracker  which I am still getting used to using .  I may add a list of books I have read for the year but not sure.  I like this set up.  The TN fits easily in my clutches. now to add a pen loop and a charm.

first tee shirt in action

This is the first tee I made with my cricut. I got some camo scraps from the thrift store and I made this skirt.  I almost bought a pair of gold shoes and a hair bow.  I was so siked when I made a tagless tag.  HTV has so many possibilities.

Client Sewing

I sew for others every now and then.  My friend text me "Can you make this?  It is a wrap skirt."  I have never made a wrap skirt but I said yeah! Pretty sure there was a pattern online somewhere.  Of course there was. I used this  wrap skirt pattern.  I modified it by using a circle skirt pattern I already had, but all in all it came out great and she had someone ask her where they could one! I need to make two more one for my daughter and one for me!

A shirt for the workout

This shirt explains  why I show up everyday.

Brown Girls Building Brands

I ordered my vinyl Friday morning it was on my door step Monday evening.  My plan was to sew up a few things while watching the Olympics but as soon as I hit the door I was at the Cricut.  LOL.  This is my first adult shirt only my second shirt! First one was a baby onesie but I am coming along.  Now I have a shirt, thank you cards and clothing labels all representing me! Eeeeek! I made the skirt too.  The fabric is from Hobby Lobby.  Pattern M6706.

Another grass fields got to have it

I love grass fields.  This dress came across my Instagram timeline and of course I had to have it.  I got a great suggestion to use simplicity 2147 to recreate it but I missed both simplicity .99 pattern sales so I got to make something up.  In Photoshop I put the patterns together and it looks like it just might work .

Culottes

There was a time when I would not touch a pair of culottes with a ten foot pole.  Now I have made four pairs.  My orange pair I used M6760 and shortened the pattern.  The pink and grey pair was my attempt at the Tania Culottes but I diy'ed it using a tutorial from Pinterest. They turned out fine and I thought hey these would be great as a jumpsuit I made another pair with the chambray. But I do not think they are as flouncy and the Tania pattern.  I tried giving Jenese's tutorial a go hoping for more flounce (the lemon fabric) they were shorter and a bit fuller.  And that is how I now have four pairs of culottes.

A little off

This is my selfdrafted/frakenpattern jumpsuit.  This is my second attempt at a strapless jumpsuit. Again the top is too big.  When I took my measurements before I cut the pattern (S1115)  I got 43 which ticked me off. I have been eating right and working out and my numbers are going up? So I cut a 44. Yeah that was way off.  I might need a new tape measure lol.  The last time this happened I could not figure out how to fix it and I took the top off added a waistband to the pants and kept it moving.  This go around I think I have found the solution.  I need to fix the zipper and i am going to take it in from the center back. That is going to give me a seam down the middle but it is not that bad to me.  I was going to wear it today with a blazer but the zipper is not attached all the way so it was lopsided. I was going to make it work. It was after midnight I had worked hard on this suit.  It was the first time I did boning too.  My husband was cracking on me like what is that sticking up in the back you might need to redo that.  Any way I am determined pictures of the finished project soon!

Gertie Lemon Fabric

Hey
I was on the hunt for the Gertie's lemons on black fabric but sadly I jumped on the bandwagon too late and it was sold out.  I did find the lemons on blue and I was told they have lemons on white.

Fast forward to a few days a go when Jenese of Needles and Fashion came through with her video tutorial on how to make her very cute tobago shorts.   The same day she posted the video was the same day I made my shorts.  I needed at least three yds and it was too late to go to the fabric store.  Luck would have I had just enough lemon fabric to get the job done.  I knew I was holding on to this fabric for a reason.

Wow it has been a very long time. I saw the burgundy shirt on Instagram and fell in love. My client wants one too.  You know I cannot be left out.  I have designed them.  Joann's had a sale buy 5 t shirts for $10. All I need now is the vinyl.
